Geertje Redinger

Geertje Redinger (born May 9, 1980 in Itzehoe ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Redinger played at MTSV Hohenwestedt and then at Kieler TB. The 1.88 meter indoor player scored 15.1 points per match for Kiel in the 2001/02 regional league season while she was studying biology in the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein . In the run-up to the 2002/03 game year, Redinger moved to SC Rist Wedel in the Bundesliga. In addition to the appearances in the top German league, Redinger also competed with Wedel in the European club competition FIBA Europe Cup and scored an average of 6.0 points per appearance in the course of the European Cup appearances. During the summer break of 2003, Redinger was about to move to another Bundesliga club, USC Freiburg, but was ultimately part of the Wedel Bundesliga squad in the 2003/04 season. However, in January 2004 she suffered a serious knee injury and was relegated with Wedel from the first division.

Redinger then played for the second division BG Hamburg West and then again at MTSV Hohenwestedt (2nd regional league). At the MTSV she also became head of the basketball department.
