Captive hearts ( Japanese と ら わ れ の 身 の 上 , Toraware no Mi no Ue ) is a manga by the Japanese illustrator Matsuri Hino from 1999 to 2002. The series can be classified into the genre Shōjo and Romanticism.

Megumi Kuroishi ( ク ロ イ シ メ グ ミ ) is a descendant of Kuronekomaru, a famous thief who stole from a samurai and was cursed by protective dragons. From then on, Kuronekomaru and his descendants had to serve the Kogami family.

But Megumi leads the comfortable life of a son of rich parents and can probably afford an eternal student life. The descendants of the Kogami have disappeared. But one day Suzuka Kogami ( コ ガ ミ ス ズ カ ) shows up and Megumi now has to fulfill his family's duty.

The manga was published from 1999 to 2002 in LaLa magazine by Hakusensha in Japan. The individual chapters were later published in five edited volumes .

Viz Media released the manga in North America, Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand. An Italian translation was published by Edizioni BD. From June 2010 to July 2011, all volumes in the series were published in German by Nina Olligschläger at Carlsen Comics .

radio play

On November 21, 2001, a radio play CD on the manga was released in Japan.
