The group Gegen die Strömung was founded in 1974 as a split from the Communist Party of Germany / Marxist-Leninists . The political orientation was determined by Stalinism, turned against the “modern revisionism” of the DKP , but in the course of its development kept its distance from Maoism and Albania and is thus to be understood as a competition against the K groups . In the mid-1970s she worked intermittently with the Marxist-Leninist Party of Austria . She appeared publicly with the magazine under the title Gegen die Strömung . It could not achieve greater political significance within the left. Her bookstore " Georgi Dimitroff " in Frankfurt am Main was searched by the police in 1999, and the subsequent proceedings against the newspaper's press officer were discontinued.
