The former homestead at Havelstraße 8 in the town of Havelsee , in the Pritzerbe district, is a listed residential building with an associated former stable building that has now been converted into a residential building and shop.
Building
The monument is a residential building that stands on the eaves along Havelstrasse. It stands at the gable on Tief Straße. The building has one floor and an attic converted for residential use. It has an outside staircase with five steps and wrought iron railings. The base and the stairs are made of clinker bricks, whereby the bricks of the base of the front of the house are unplastered, in the deep street gray plastered. Above the base, the building was plastered and painted white. The carved wooden door is double-leaf with a skylight. Around the entrance there is a narrow, slightly recessed bottle that has been painted brown. Such bottles can also be found around the two windows to the right and left of the entrance. These rectangular windows have wooden shutters and clinker brick exterior window sills . The eaves on the front of the house continue as a simple cornice over the side walls of the house, separating the ground floor from the top floor. There are four windows of different sizes facing Tiefen Straße, three in the attic and one in the basement. The window in the basement has shutters, the large window in the attic lacks them. However, you can see that this window was once provided with shutters. The clamps with corresponding recesses in the masonry are still there. The only conspicuous thing about the roof is a crippled hip on both sides . It was covered with red beaver tails .
The former stable building to the left of the house is connected to the main house by a brick archway. It stands at the gable facing Havelstrasse. Under the eaves, on the side facing the residential building, you can see the half-timbering from which the stable building was constructed. The back is smoothly plastered, windowless and without any visible framework. The stable is now a residential building with two floors. On the ground floor there is a small shop with a shop window facing Havelstrasse . A segmental arched window of the apartment on the upper floor can be seen above the shop window . The roof of the former stable is a simple gable roof .
