Medical Council (Germany)

Medical Officer , Medizinaloberrat , medical director and Chief Medical Officer in Germany official or service names for civil servant doctors . Medical councilors are generally remunerated according to the salary order A 13, medical consultants in A 14, medical directors in A 15 and senior medical directors in A 16.

Secret Medical Councilor , Secret Senior Medical Councilor , and Real Secret Senior Medical Councilor were non-academic titles that were awarded to doctors in the German monarchies . Medizinalrat was the official title for the relevant technical councils of the district governments . The medical officers in ministries were considered secret medical officer or Secret Obermedizinalrat characterized . The title Real Secret Chief Medical Officer was reserved for the top medical officials in the Prussian Ministry of Spiritual, Educational and Medical Matters. As ministerial directors , they were entitled to the address of excellence . The medical professors at the Prussian universities were usually also given the title of secret medical councilor.

These medical councils are not to be confused with medical councils or secret medical councils. As such, doctors were honored who had rendered services in free practice over many years .
