Geirmund Brendesæter (born March 22, 1970 in Stord ) is a former Norwegian soccer player who last played for Brann Bergen , but was also active in the Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld .

Career

society

Geirmund Brendesæter began his career with the clubs Bremnes IL and Stord IL . In 1991 he moved to Brann Bergen , where he played 107 games and scored four goals in five years. In 1997 he switched to the Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld . He made 13 games for Bielefeld. In the same year he returned to Brann Bergen.

In 2001 he started a media survey asking whether he should extend his contract or hang up his football boots. It was decided 3525: 3429 for a contract extension. Then Brendesæter extended his contract for another two years. In his last game he was substituted on a few minutes before the end of the game and received a standing ovation. He then played in the forward position, where he always played in his youth, but in Brann he was only used as a defender .

National team

Between 1993 and 1995 he played six international matches for the Norwegian national football team .
