The address of the house was given in addition to Anstaltstrasse 8 and Friedhofstrasse 7. Salbke was incorporated into Magdeburg in 1910. After that, the building belonged to the city of Magdeburg and served as a residential building. In addition to field guard R. Bengsch, two widows and one other woman lived there. Later, too, the field policeman and sergeant G. Bauer lived next to three widows.
