Diego Carlos Seyfarth

Diego Carlos Seyfarth (born December 7, 1984 in Lima , Peru ) is a German- Peruvian actor .

Life

Seyfarth grew up in Lima, where he attended a Catholic boys' school. His German ancestors who emigrated to South America came from Hamburg and Cologne . After attending school, he came to Germany in 2002; Before that, he had learned the basics of the German language at the Goethe Institute in Lima for six months . He did his community service in a nursing home in Bonn and completed an apprenticeship as a hotel clerk .

In 2008 he began his acting training at the drama school in Siegburg; During this time he was already playing at the Siegburg studio stage. From September 2010 to June 2014 he completed his acting training at the Alanus University for Art and Society , from which he graduated with an acting diploma. In 2013 he played various roles in the final production, including a. a macho in The Songs of Tom Waits , a musical play about singer Tom Waits . From March to May 2014 he played the role of the band manager Leo in the theater production Morgenstern by the author and director Maren Dupont at Das-da-Theater in Aachen .

Seyfarth was engaged in June 2014 as a member of the drama ensemble of the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen . There he first appeared as Commander-in-Chief Hurgo and as a Spanish-speaking sailor in Gulliver's Travels (premiere: July 2014) at the Bautzen Theater Summer . Further roles, u. a. as takeovers, Elliott Butler were in the tabloid Comedy Endlich alone by Laurence Roman (premiere: December 2013; role assumption) and the young father Frankie in the recital were parents of Franz Wittenbrink (premiere: November 2014).

Seyfarth also played Jamie / Axel in Schlechter Sex by Mia Mang (premiere: March 2011; role takeover), Amy Winehouse in the travesty revue Indescribably feminine - Daphne's birthday (premiere: December 2011; role takeover), the roles Mörschel / Schulz / Heillbutt in Little Man - What Now? (Premiere: February 2015), Chief Bromden in one flew over the cuckoo's nest (Premiere: May 2015) and Freddy Eynsford-Hill in the musical My Fair Lady (Premiere: June 2015 as part of the Bautzen Theater Summer).

In the 2015/16 season he was one of the main actors in the fairy tale play Father Frost (premiere: October 2015) in over 30 performances.

Seyfarth played leading roles in various short films, college films and diploma films. In November 2015 Seyfarth was seen in an episode role in the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante . He played Lenny Schmidt, an unemployed, former journeyman in a gas and water installation company. In the Canadian movie Kingdom Come (2013) he took on the role of Nadihr in the German dubbed version in 2014.

Seyfarth also appears as a musician. As a child he learned various percussion instruments . From the age of twelve he played drums in the big band at his school in Lima. In 2004 he formed a funk rock band . He performed with cover bands, had solo appearances as a drummer in various clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia , was a cajón player in an Afro-Peruvian folklore band and is the drummer of the band The Auroras (with indie rock ).

Seyfarth initially lived in Bonn in Germany ; he currently lives (as of November 2015) in Dresden .
