Beginning of Kallsberg

The second state government, with Kallsberg at its head as Prime Minister, was also the 21st government of the Faroe Islands after obtaining internal self-government ( heimastýri ) in 1948.

government

The government was formed on June 6, 2002 and existed until February 3, 2004. It was composed of a four-party coalition of Fólkaflokkurin , Tjóðveldisflokkurin , Sjálvstýrisflokkurin and Miðflokkurin .

In the beginning Kallsberg vom Fólkaflokkurin led the government as prime minister. In addition, he was also responsible for government and foreign affairs. Høgni Hoydal vom Tjóðveldisflokkurin was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Self-Government and Justice until December 5, 2003. Beginning December 5th, 2003, Anfinn Kallsberg from Fólkaflokkurin took over these tasks. Jørgen Niclasen vom Fólkaflokkurin was Minister for Fisheries until January 14, 2003. He was first replaced by the beginning of Kallsberg and then from February 17, 2003 by Jacob Vestergaard , also Fólkaflokkurin. Annlis Bjarkhamar vom Tjóðveldisflokkurin was Minister of Culture until March 4, 2003. Beginning Kallsberg took over her duties for two days. On March 6, 2003, Høgni Hoydal also took over the Ministry of Culture. On September 17, 2003 Annita á Fríðriksmørk , also from Tjóðveldisflokkurin, became the new Minister for Culture. On December 5, 2003, Anfinn Kallsberg from Fólkaflokkurin took over responsibility for the ministry again. Karsten Hansen from Tjóðveldisflokkurin was Minister for Finance and Economy. Beginning on December 5th, 2003, Anfinn Kallsberg also took on this task. Bjarni Djurholm from Fólkaflokkurin Minister for Commerce (excluding Oil and Environment), Eyðun Elttør from Sjálvstýrisflokkurin Minister for Oil and Environment, Bill Justinussen from Miðflokkurin Minister for Family and Health and finally Páll á Reynatúgvu from Minister Tjóðveldisflokkurin. Anfinn Kallsberg took over this ministry on December 5th, 2003.

The state government Anfinn Kallsberg II was a consequence of the result of the Løgtingswahl 2002 , in which the governing coalition had lost two seats and therefore had to include the Miðflokkurin in the coalition in order to continue to govern.

As early as 2003 there was a government crisis, as a result of which the Tjóðveldisflokkurin withdrew from the government on December 5, 2003 and early elections had to be scheduled for January 2004 ( Løgtingswahl 2004 ).
