State government Jóannes Eidesgaard II
The second state government of the Faroe Islands, with Jóannes Eidesgaard as Prime Minister , was formed on February 4, 2008 and lasted until September 26, 2008.
Education and composition
After the elections on January 19, 2008, the new state government emerged from a center-left three-party coalition in which Javnaðarflokkurin was involved with three ministers, Tjóðveldi with four ministers and Miðflokkurin with one minister. Because of the party letters C, H, and E, it was also known as the CHE coalition.
Due to internal disputes, in which a replaced lock caused a scandal, Prime Minister Jóannes Eidesgaard ended the cooperation with Tjóðveldi on September 15. After Tjóðveldi withdrew from the government, Prime Minister Jóannes Eidesgaard took over the duties of these four ministers. The resulting government crisis then cleared the way for the first government of Kaj Leo Johannesen .
