Beacon Hill in New South Wales , Australia , is a suburb of the city of Sydney and is located 17 kilometers northeast of the city. A few miles to the southeast is Manly Beach .
The village is named since 1881 on the 152 m (Engl. High hill hill ), viewed Beacon Hill is on a beacon (Engl. Beacon ) burned. Most of the houses were built in Beacon Hill during the 1950s and 1960s. From 1949 to 1986 the village also had its own post office .
Beacon Hill had about 7,500 residents in 2016. The place is part of the Local Administrative Area (LGA) Warringah Council .
