The second state government headed by Petur Mohr Dam as Prime Minister was the sixth government of the Faroe Islands after obtaining internal self-government ( heimastýri ) in 1948. It was also the second government with a Social Democratic Prime Minister.

The government existed from January 12, 1967 to November 19, 1968. As in the first government led by Social Democrats, it was a coalition of Javnaðarflokkurin , Sambandsflokkurin and Sjálvstýrisflokkurin .

Petur Mohr Dam from Javnaðarflokkurin headed the government as Prime Minister. He was also Minister for Foreign Affairs, Health, Transport and Industry. Kristian Djurhuus vom Fólkaflokkurin was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Agriculture and Fisheries. Sámal Petersen vom Sjálvstýrisflokkurin was Minister for Local Affairs, Culture and Education.

When Petur Mohr Dam died eleven months after taking over the government at the beginning of November 1968, the then deputy prime minister Kristian Djurhuus formed his third government.
