The community youth work (GJW) is for the children, youth , teenagers, youth and scout work of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches in Germany Kdö.R. responsible. It also forms the "Children and Youth Service" in the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches.

The community youth service looks after over 30,000 children and young people in approx. 2,100 groups with more than 5,000 volunteers in the individual communities. The federal office is located in Elstal near Berlin. Marten Becker is the chairman of the GJW federal board.

organization

The community youth work is organized in a federal association and regional associations.

The content-related work of the community youth organization is divided into departments for children, youngsters, teenagers, youth and scouts according to the target groups. Training and advanced training measures at the federal level are coordinated by the GJW Academy and at the state level by the state offices. Among other things, JULEICA courses are carried out under the label "M-course".

The work of the community youth organization is responsible for the GJW national conference, which takes place twice a year and is attended by delegates from all community youth organizations. Every three years the federal conference elects the federal executive committee as the governing body, which takes over the control of the work.
