A community grave is a specially designed enclosed area in a cemetery for the burial of a specific group or for a number of deceased to be buried in a specific period of time. In contrast to the anonymous burial , the identity of the deceased is noted by name.

The first type includes graves of family members or members of certain spiritual groups or religious orders.

On the other hand, communal graves were created due to communal circumstances.

The communal grave is also offered as an inexpensive alternative to individual graves in the funeral sector.
