The Gemind , also Gemünd , was an Austrian measure of length in mines in the County of Tyrol .

The measure corresponded to 4 Bozen cubits .

In Germany Gemünd had a different meaning. The length measurements for measuring fields, meadows, woodlands and ponds were mostly done with a stick or a lath of 7 ½ Leipzig cubits in length, so that this stick was thought to be placed next to one another by rolling over the measuring line, which then added the thickness of the stick, the Gemünd, had to be added. The Gemünd was started with a 2 inch stick. The rod length of the Leipzig rod was 7 Leipzig cubits and 14 inches.
