Gene Ha (* in Chicago ) is an American comic artist .

Life and work

Ha, who grew up in South Bend, Indiana , as the son of Korean immigrants , began working as a full-time comic book artist in the 1990s, having previously trained as an academic draftsman at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit.

Ha's work includes a number of issues for the Top 10 and Top 10 series written by Alan Moore and Zander Cannon : The Forty-Niners , various issues for the Global Frequency series and some issues for The Adventures of Cyclops series produced by Marvel Comics and Phoenix . There are also some covers for magazines such as Wizard Magazine and the illustrations for the graphic novel Batman: Fortunate Son , written by Gerard Jones . As a guest artist, Ha designed the first four issues of Grant Morrison's Run on The Authority (2006) and issue # 11 of Brad Meltzer 's Justice League of America series .

Ha currently resides in Oak Park, Illinois with his wife Lisa.
