Geoff Goodacre
Geoff Goodacre (actually Geoffrey Charles Goodacre; born June 18, 1927 in Blayney , New South Wales , † June 30, 2004 in Long Jetty , New South Wales) was an Australian hurdler who had specialized in the 400-meter distance .
In 1950 he won bronze over 440 yard hurdles at the British Empire Games in Auckland , and in 1956 he was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Melbourne over 400 m hurdles in the preliminary run.
Seven times he was Australian champion over 440 yard hurdles (1948-1951, 1955-1957) and three times over 220 yard hurdles (1949, 1955, 1956). He set his personal best over 400 m hurdles of 52.0 s on October 20, 1956 in Melbourne .
