Geoffrey Finsberg
Geoffrey Finsberg, Baron Finsberg (born June 13, 1926 - October 8, 1996 ) was a British politician of the Conservative Party .
Life
Finsberg attended the City of London School .
From 1970 to 1992 he was a Member of the House of Commons , 1970 to 1983 for the constituency of Hampstead , 1983 to 1992 for the constituency of Hampstead and Highgate . In 1992 he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Finsberg , of Hampstead in the London Borough of Camden, and became a member of the House of Lords .
In 1992, Finsberg succeeded Anders Björck as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .
