Geophysical Research Letters is a bi-monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Geophysical Union since 1974 . The editor-in-chief is Eric Calais.

The journal contains reports and research results from scientific fields such as climatology , hydrology , oceanography , cryology ( cryosphere ), from areas of atmospheric and earth system sciences and space research .
