The Geophysicists Cove ( English for Polish Zatoka Geofizyków , Geophysikerbucht ' ) is a bay on the west side of the Krakow Peninsula of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies in front of the front of the Viéville glacier immediately north of Manczarski Point .
Polish scientists named it in 1980 after the geophysicists of the Polish Antarctic expedition, which ran from 1978 to 1979.
