The fifth season of Geordie Shore will be filmed in Newcastle upon Tyne like the previous season . There are also trips to Europe such as Amsterdam , Barcelona and Prague . It was first broadcast on February 19, 2013. The cast remains unchanged. In addition to Dan, Ricci also leaves the series at the end of the season after Vicky broke up with him. Charlotte confesses her love to Gaz, and Holly gets into a conflict with James over his relationship with Kate. Season 6 started in summer 2013
