The Georg Schmitt place is a place in Trier in the district center . It is located directly on the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge . Ascoli-Pisceno-Straße, Lindenstraße , Merianstraße and Ausoniusstraße flow onto the square from east to west .

The square is named after the Trier composer Georg Schmitt , whose birthplace is in the immediate vicinity on the Zurlaubener Ufer .
