Georg Barth (born October 19, 1875 in Lauf an der Pegnitz , † after 1944) was a German entrepreneur , chemist and councilor .

Life

He was the son of the wholesale merchant and royal Bavarian commercial councilor Johann Friedrich Barth, the founder of the Johann Friedrich Barth Family Foundation , which still exists today under the name JF Barth'sche Foundation and is administered by the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz.

After graduating from secondary school, Georg Barth studied at the Technical University of Munich and at the University of Rostock . In 1900 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. He got into the family business, became an art mill owner and presented numerous publications in the field of brewing technology. In addition, he worked on the manual for technology, which was edited by Professor Lafar.

Georg Barth was a member of the supervisory boards of various breweries, for example deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Hofbrauhaus Wolters u. Balhorn A.-G. to Braunschweig . He was also the executive executor of the JF Barthschen Family Foundation.

The building complex of his art mill also included his house, which was originally a baroque building from 1781 and which he extensively redesigned in the neo-baroque style in 1912. This included a large garden and garden pavilion and the adjoining art mill building to the west, which has since been replaced by a new building.

Honors

He was appointed royal Bavarian councilor for his services.
