Georg Bruder (journalist)
Georg Bruder (born April 26, 1979 in Zell am Harmersbach ) is a German journalist. Since May 2019 he has been moderating SWR Aktuell Baden-Württemberg , the main edition of the television news of Südwestrundfunk .
Life
Georg Bruder grew up in the Black Forest. After completing technical training in industry, he graduated from high school in Freiburg im Breisgau . He then studied communication science with a focus on politics, journalism and marketing at the University of Hohenheim . At the same time, he gained journalistic experience at the ZDF Landesstudio Baden-Württemberg and the Evangelical Media House in Stuttgart. He came to Südwestrundfunk through his training at the Institute for Moderation (imo) in Stuttgart. Georg Bruder is married and has two children.

At Südwestrundfunk , Georg Bruder initially worked as an editor and head of duty at the night café (talk show) . He later worked as a reporter and editor for the Baden-Württemberg state show . He was also a live reporter in Baden-Württemberg for this television magazine . Before he switched to the news, he worked for the political magazine Zur Sorge Baden-Württemberg! Since 2019 he has been presenting the news program SWR Aktuell Baden-Württemberg at 7.30 p.m. as the successor to Dieter Fritz , alternating weekly with Stephanie Haiber .
