Georg Christoph von Schallenberg

Georg Christoph von Schallenberg (* 1593 ; † 1657 ) was a nobleman and civil servant .

Georg Christoph Freiherr von Schallenberg was the son of Christoph von Schallenberg (1561–1597) and Margaretha von Lappitz (1560–1614). Georg Chr. Converted to Catholicism in 1630, in 1638 he was admitted to the Upper Austrian gentry and on July 14, 1656 to the Imperial Barons (with improved coat of arms).

Georg Chr. Von Schallenberg was kk chamberlain, secret councilor, district administrator, chief steward and chief commissioner in Upper Austria. In 1615 he married Eva von Hoheneck, with whom he has two sons.

He wrote diaries and a family chronicle.
