Georg Ebeling (Romanist)
Georg Gustav Otto Ebeling (born August 19, 1867 in Berlin ; † February 22, 1950 in Hohenwestedt ) was a German Romance and Medievalist .
Life
Ebeling received his doctorate in Berlin in 1891 with the critical edition of Auberee. Old French Fablel (Halle an der Saale, Niemeyer, 1895) and habilitated in 1903. From 1903 to 1913 he was a lecturer in the training of seminar teachers in Berlin, then from 1913 to 1935 full professor of Romance philology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (from 1919 to 1920 also dean).
