Georg Götz (economist)

Georg Götz (* 1963 in Oberviechtach, grew up in Gleiritsch ) is a German economist and has been a professor of economics (especially industrial economics, competition policy and regulation) at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen since 2007 .

Career

After studying economics from 1983 to 1989 at the University of Regensburg , Götz received his doctorate there in 1995. In 2002 he completed his habilitation at the University of Vienna . After various activities as a research assistant, university assistant and university lecturer, he received a professorship at the Institute for Economics at the University of Vienna in 2003, before finally moving to the University of Giessen as a professor in 2007.
