Georg Gottlieb Güldenapfel (born June 1, 1776 in Oberndorf , † September 21, 1826 ) was a German philosopher and librarian .

Life

Güldenapfel studied theology and philosophy from 1798. He later earned a doctorate and became a private lecturer at the University of Jena . In 1808 he became an associate professor. Güldenapfel headed the Thuringian university and state library from 1811 to 1826 in the function of sub-librarian. From 1817 he became a full honorary professor. According to contemporary authors, the "library work in reorganization" led to his death in 1826.
