Georg Holdenried

Georg Holdenried (born September 15, 1905 in Partenheim ; † November 6, 1965 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament of the Communist Party of Germany .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he worked as a factory worker, auxiliary craftsman and warehouse clerk at the Bayer paint factory . Holdenried became a member of the KPD in 1928. During the Third Reich, he was held in protective custody for six years and eight months for preparation for high treason . After the end of the war he was a member of the works council at Bayer.

From 1945 on, Holdenried was a member of the city ​​council of Leverkusen . From October 10, 1949 to July 4, 1954 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He always entered parliament via his party's reserve list.
