Georg Klütsch

Georg Klütsch (* 1951 in Düren ) is a German bassoonist , chamber musician and music teacher .

Life

Klütsch first studied school music at the music academies in Mainz and Detmold. He completed his artistic and instrumental training with Helman Jung at the Northwest German Music Academy. From 1978 to 1995 Klütsch was principal bassoonist with the Bamberg Symphony . He was also a long-time member of the “ Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble” and is a welcome guest with the Linos Ensemble, Vogler Quartet, Mito Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Kontraste, Ensemble Berlin and the Bamberg Wind Soloists.

As a professor at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar, he quickly succeeded in building up a very successful bassoon class. In 2001 Georg Klütsch was appointed professor of bassoon and chamber music at the Cologne University of Music . Many of his former students now play in such well-known orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic , the Dresden Philharmonic , the Royal Opera House in Stockholm ( Royal Opera Stockholm ), the NDR Radio Philharmonic , the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Gürzenich Orchestra , the National Orchestra of Mannheim, the Malaysia Symphony Orchestra, the Basque National Orchestra, the Normandy Orchestra, the Innsbruck Symphony Orchestra, the municipal orchestras in Heidelberg, Ulm, Hof, Halle and Augsburg, the Athens Radio Orchestra, the state orchestras in Wiesbaden and Darmstadt and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen .
