Prince Georg Konstantin Czartoryski

Georg Konstantin Fürst Czartoryski (born April 24, 1828 in Dresden , † December 23, 1912 in Vienna ) was a Polish nobleman from the Czartoryski family and an old Austrian politician.

biography

He was the son of Prince Konstantin Adam Czartoryski and Maria Dzierżonowska (Gozdawa coat of arms). Prince Georg was a member of the state parliament of Galicia , elected member of the Reichsrat in 1873 , kk privy councilor and since April 1891, appointed by the emperor, hereditary member of the Austrian mansion . In Vienna, the prince owned the Czartoryski castle that his father had bought .

Note

In Meyers Konversations-Lexikon , 5th edition, 4th volume, Bibliographisches Institut, Leipzig and Vienna 1895, p. 458, the date of death 30 October 1891 was erroneously given. However, this concerns Konstantin Czartoryski (see here ), last appointed by the emperor as the second vice-president of the manor on March 26, 1891, and died on October 30, 1891.
