The Georg Nordmann Holding AG is a medium-sized conglomerate with an original business since 1912, which consists of two subgroups: the subgroup Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH (NRC); a company that is active in chemical distribution and the ROWA subgroup ; a company engaged in chemical production. The parent company Georg Nordmann Holding Aktiengesellschaft is based in Hamburg.

Companies

The core business of the subgroup NRC is the distribution and trading of chemical raw materials and products from the areas of life sciences, construction / coatings / composites, polymers / polymer additives and elastomers / rubber chemicals / polyurethanes, which require explanation. The NRC Group sells products from many well-known companies, such as B. DAIKIN Industries, Honeywell and SheII. The German sub-group parent company Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH is a Hamburg trading company founded in 1912. The German market continues to be of outstanding importance for the NRC subgroup. In the past few years, however, the subsidiaries in the European markets have grown in importance. In the 2013 financial year, the majority shares in the companies Jointec Srl, Milan / Italy and COPCI SAS, Annecy / France were acquired and in 2014 the remaining shares in the company Jointec Srl were acquired. The subgroup NRC represents the distribution / trading division of the GNH group.

The ROWA subgroup is an industrial group that produces and sells aids for the textile coating industry, matting agents, both at different locations in Germany (Pinneberg, Seevetal and Karstädt) and abroad (France, USA and South Korea) and pigment preparations for printing inks, paints, varnishes, dispersion adhesives, high-quality thermoplastics, liquid colors and color masterbatches for thermoplastics. The production division of the GNH group is represented by the subgroup ROWA.

history

In January 1912, the merchants Eduard Nordmann and Fritz Rassmann merged in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg to form an international trading company for natural rubber, Nordmann, Rassmann & Co. (NRC). In 1915 they expanded their range to include raw cocoa. In 1949, Nordmann, Rassmann & Co. began distributing the raw materials. Between 1991 and 2007 the trading and manufacturing company expanded its branches in Central and Eastern Europe and founded various subsidiaries. In 2003 the companies were consolidated into Georg Nordmann Holding.
