Georg Stillfried
Georg Stillfried (born July 29, 1963 in Bogotá , Colombia ) is an Austrian diplomat and since January 2015 Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Egypt , Cairo (co-accredited in Sudan and Eritrea ).
Life
Georg Stillfried comes from the very old Austrian-Bohemian family Stillfried-Rattonitz . He is married.
Georg Stillfried was an assistant at the law faculty of the University of Vienna from 1989 to 1994 . In autumn 1994 he was accepted into the higher foreign service . From March 1995 he worked in the press department.
From 1997 to 2000 he worked in the international law office. From the year 2000 he was first assigned to the Austrian Embassy in Cairo for five years.
From 2005 to 2008 he was ambassador to Kuwait . Between 2008 and 2011 he was Head of the Southern Europe Department.
From 2012 to 2015 he was head of the personnel department of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs . Since January 2015 he has been ambassador at the Austrian Embassy in Cairo.
