Georg Volkmer

Georg Volkmer (born December 24, 1870 in Zadel , Frankenstein district , † after 1933) was a German landowner and politician ( center ).

Life

Volkmer attended grammar school in Frankenstein up to Obersekunda and later became a landowner in Zadel. He was chairman of the agricultural commission of the Frankenstein district, district taxator and member of the board of directors of the Lower Silesian Provincial Fire Society . From 1914 to 1917 he took part in the First World War as a soldier , most recently as a lieutenant in the Landwehr. For his services he received the Iron Cross II. Class, the Silesian Eagle and the Landwehr Service Award .

Volkmer joined the Center Party and was elected to the district council of the Frankenstein district. From 1928 to 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
