Georg Wenner

Georg Wenner (born June 5, 1903 in Wanne-Eickel ; † 1964 ) was a German businessman and SS leader.

Life

After passing his Abitur, Wenner studied political science and law and graduated in 1927 with a degree in business administration. In 1932 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. After graduating, Wenner worked as an auditor . At the beginning of May 1937, Wenner joined the NSDAP ( membership number 4,619,985). From mid-October 1940, Wenner headed the tax, finance and accounting department at Staff W in the main office for administration and economics. Wenner continued this function from February 1942 to January 1945 after the establishment of the SS Economic and Administrative Main Office (SS-WVHA). From 1941, Wenner was also an authorized signatory at Deutsche Wirtschaftsbetriebe GmbH . At the beginning of May 1942 Wenner became a member of the Waffen-SS and from February 1943 to January 1945 he was a specialist in the rank of Obersturmführer in the SS. At the beginning of February 1945, Wenner was drafted into the Volkssturm or Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS for military service in the final phase of the Second World War .

Nothing is known about his post-war fate.
