George H. Everett Jeffery

George H. Everett Jeffery ( April 2, 1855 - April 4, 1935 ) was a British architect and historian.

Jeffrey was the Curator of the Ancient Monuments of Cyprus from 1903 until his death in 1935 . Among his publications is the standard work Description of the Historical Monuments of Cyprus , which was first published in 1918 and has been reprinted many times since. His public activities from 1908 onwards include overseeing the construction of the Cyprus Museum . Despina Pilides researched and edited his diaries.
