George Hoyte

George Hoyte († September 15, 1868 ) was an Irish merchant and councilor of Dublin .

George Hoyte was born to William Hoyte. He was High Sheriff of Dublin , Dublin Councilor and held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1838 to 1839 . For many years, Hoyte was Vice Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ireland , the second oldest Masonic Lodge .

Hoyte was married and had three daughters and eight sons. He died in September 1868 at the age of 75.
