George Hume

Hume, who was interested in chess composition at the age of 17, was one of the most important representatives of the English school . From 1896 to 1915 Hume composed very little, but afterwards turned mainly to two-move and self-mate tasks .
Hume managed the collection of problems created by Alain Campbell White and helped him print, publish and mail the Christmas Series. White called Hume in the book Changing Fashions the reigning destiny ("Presiding Destiny") of the Christmas Series.
