George Jefferson
George Jefferson ( George Gordon Jefferson ; born February 28, 1910 in Inglewood , † February 13, 1996 in Ventura , California ) was an American pole vaulter .
In 1931 and 1932 he was third in the US championship.
At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , he won the bronze medal with 4.20 m behind his compatriot Bill Miller (4.315 m) and the Japanese Shūhei Nishida (4.30 m).
