Georges Belaubre
Georges Belaubre (born January 17, 1944 in Villefranche-sur-Saône ) is a former French triathlete .
Career
Georges Belaubre started his first triathlons in the 1980s and he is one of the triathlon pioneers in France.
In 1985, at the age of 41, he became the first French national champion in the short-distance triathlon (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).
In 1984, 1985 and 1986 he was three times triathlon world champion in the age group 40-44.
He lives in Poissy and has two children. His son Frédéric Belaubre (* 1980) was also active as a triathlete until 2016.
