Georges Chaperot

Georges Chaperot (born April 21, 1902 in Brest , † unknown) was a French screenwriter who was nominated once for the Oscar for best original story.

Life

Chaperot, who wrote the scripts and templates for six films between 1936 and 1948, was nominated for the Oscar for the best original story at the 1948 Academy Awards , together with René Wheeler for The Nightingale Cage ( La Cage aux rossignols, 1945) by Jean Dréville with Noël-Noël , Micheline Francey and Georges Biscot .

The template for this film also served as the basis for the 2004 film The Children of Monsieur Mathieu (Les choristes), directed by Christophe Barratier .

As a director he staged Dolorès et le joli cœur in 1951 , for which Maurice Franck contributed the film music . His grandson is the actor Emmanuel Patron .
