Georges Roussin
Georges Roussin , actually Georges Marie Auguste Roussin (born November 19, 1854 in Réunion ( DOM-ROM ), † October 1941 in Algeria ), was a French painter.
Life
Roussin came to Paris when he was just under 20 and became a student of the Académie Julian . He later switched to the École des Beaux-Arts (EBA). a. Jules-Joseph Lefebvre , Jean-François Millet and Alexandre Cabanel .
With the support of his teachers, Roussin was able to successfully debut in 1878 on the occasion of the major exhibition at the Salon de Paris . At this annual event, Roussin was seen regularly for many years from 1878.
In 1930 he settled in Algeria, where he died in 1941 at the age of well over eighty.
