Georgia Byng

Georgia Mary Caroline Byng (* 1966 ) is a British children's author . Her first writing was for a comic strip and her first published book was The Sock Monsters . Byng is best known for her book Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism and its follow-up volumes. It's about a girl who finds a book about hypnosis and learns how to hypnotize. She was also involved in the 2015 film adaptation as a screenwriter and film producer.

Byng has been compared to JK Rowling , author of the Harry Potter novels. She has a daughter from her marriage to Daniel S. Chadwick and two other children from her marriage to the artist Marc Quinn . She has been in a relationship with bassist Guy Pratt since 2019 .

Little things

Copies of Meg Cabot 's Party Princess book with Byng's picture on the back were published in New Zealand and Australia in March 2006 and were therefore sold more often than Cabot's himself. The books were immediately removed from the shelves and the picture corrected.
