The Georgian Cliff is a striking and 550 m high cliff on the east coast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It rises immediately north of the mouth of the Eros Glacier in the George VI Sound . At its northern end, it consists of a cliff that tapers to the south to form a mountain ridge .
Trimetrogon recordings by the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) and measurements by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey between 1948 and 1950 were used to map it. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1974 after its geographical proximity to George VI Sound.
