Gerald Dobler

Gerald Dobler (* 1964 ) is a German art historian and restorer .

Life

Dobler worked for a restorer in Regensburg from 1984 to 1986 and from 1990 to 1996. In the meantime he was an intern in the restoration workshops of the Bavarian National Museum in Munich. From 1990 to 1996 he studied art history and classical archeology at the University of Regensburg . In 1999 he was awarded the doctoral thesis The Gothic Wall Paintings in the Upper Palatinate. PhD with an excursus on paintings in the former Free Imperial City of Regensburg . From 2000 to 2007 he was a manager of the restoration workshops Neubauer GmbH in Bad Endorf. Since then he has been self-employed.
