Gerald Gibbs
Gerald Ernest Gibbs (born November 7, 1907 in Richmond , Surrey , United Kingdom , † January 23, 1990 in London-Westminster ) was a British cameraman.
Life
Gerald Gibbs was camera assistant from 1928, his first films, in which he had responsibility as chief cameraman, are insignificant. Even after the great success of the film Joy of Life , for which he received a nomination for the British Film Academy Award for Best Cinematography , Gibbs rarely found engagements in productions worth mentioning. The three-part television series “The gentlemen ask for cash” remained his best-known film work in Germany.
