Gerald Kronberger

Gerald Kronberger (* 1975 in Braunau am Inn ) is an Austrian lawyer. Since February 1, 2020 he has been District Captain of Braunau am Inn .

Career

Kronberger was born in Braunau am Inn and grew up in Schalchen . He started his professional career as an apprentice cook and waiter at the five-star Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg . He passed the university entrance examination and studied law; he completed this course as a master of law.

He began his career as a lawyer in the finance department of the Salzburg City Administration and then moved to the branch office of the Federal Administrative Court in Linz as a judge . In his work there, his focus was on aliens law and asylum procedures. Since January 1, 2017, he has been the city manager in Neumarkt am Wallersee .

In December 2019, the Upper Austrian provincial government announced that he would become district captain for the Braunau am Inn district from February 1, 2020.
