Gerard Bond

Gerard Clark Bond (born May 20, 1940 in Altus, Oklahoma , † June 29, 2005 in Bronx , New York) was an American geologist who conducted research at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory .

Life

Bond believed that changes in solar activity during the Holocene caused climatic variability with a period of about 1500 years. The cyclical events were named after him as the Bond events .
