Gerbern (lat. Gerbernus ; † 965 ) was Abbot of Corvey from 949 to 965 .

He was considered pious. In his day he ran the monastery in peace with all neighbors. At the same time, he brought peace to the conflicting ministerials of the monastery. Corvey was famous under his reign. The monastery schools in particular were in bloom. A monk from Corvey named Volkmar or Folkmar became Bishop of Paderborn in his day . At the time of Gerbernus, the relics of Saint Justine were completed. Emperor Otto I himself procured the head of the martyr for Corvey, who had previously been in Magdeburg . Gerbernus was present at the inauguration of Minden Cathedral in 952. He founded a chapel in Corvey in honor of the apostle James. He also had a house for merchants and a mill built.
