Gerd Boettger

Gerd Böttger (born December 17, 1948 in Sangerhausen ) is a German politician ( SED , PDS and Die Linke ) and a former member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

Gerd Böttger completed his studies at the Institute for Engineering Pedagogues in Schwerin and later at the Academy for Law and Political Science of the GDR in Potsdam-Babelsberg with a degree in political science. Böttger belonged to the FDJ and was district secretary of the National Front .

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he was elected to the city council of Schwerin in 1990, to which he has belonged ever since, temporarily as the parliamentary group leader of his party.

From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, he was directly elected in the state constituency of Schwerin II in 1994 and 1998 .
